Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Ketchum is seeking qualified vendors to provide a diesel exhaust capture and extraction system for its new fire station. The fire station will feature four apparatus bays that are each approximately 70 feet long. Two of the bays are planned to be used with vehicles parked in tandem configuration with the other two used for larger apparatus in a pull-through manner. Currently, the City operates two Ford Expeditions, two Ford ambulances, a Pierce ladder truck, and a Pierce engine. The City is seeking a rail-mounted system that will affix to the steel roof-support beams of the apparatus bay. The system shall connect to vehicle tail-pipe and enable the capture of vehicle exhaust for the entire length of the bays. When engaged on a vehicle exhaust pipe, the capture system shall automatically engage an extraction system that pulls exhaust out of the building. Upon exit of the vehicle from the apparatus bay, the tail-pipe connection shall automatically disengage. The system shall include a control panel installed in the station as well as not less than six (6) wireless transmitters to be used remotely. The City is seeking a Plymovent Model VSRX-70 Straight Rail vehicle exhaust system or a product that is functionally equivalent.
