Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected applicant must establish a working relationship with theDepartmentto complete disability determination reviewsto ensure alldisability determination reviews arecompleted within ten (10) business days after receiving the fully developed filefrom the Department.The selected applicant’sMRT must view cases made available to them through the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) and New HEIGHTS, the computer system used to determine eligibility,for assistance programs in order to have the MRT complete the New Hampshire Medical Eligibility Review Summary (MERS)/Sequential Evaluation Process, as included as Appendix F, which complies with 20 CFR Part 416. The selected applicant must ensure all applicable files; relevant materials and supporting documents are returned to the Department via the MMIS and/or New HEIGHTS system within five (5) business days after the Disability Determination is complete.The selected applicant musthave the ability to receive training on MMIS and New HEIGHTS functionality.The selected applicant must provide Disability Determination Servicesto individuals who are residents of New Hampshire and identified as:Applying for Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled (APTD), Medicaid for Employed Adults with Disabilities (MEAD), Medicaid for Employed Older Adultswith Disabilities (MOAD); and Aid to the Needy Blind (ANB).Individuals disabled as definedin the federal Social Security Act, Titles II and XVI and regulations adopted under such act, except that the minimum required duration of the impairment is 48 months.Applying for Home Care for Children with Severe Disabilities (HC-CSD)with the durationof impairment of a minimum of 12 months.Children with disabilities as described in New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated (RSA) 167, Public Assistance to Blind, Aged, or Disabled Persons and to DependentChildren and New Hampshire Administrative Rule He-W 508, Medical Assistance for Home Care of Certain Children with Severe Disabilities.
