Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.3. MODEL:2.3.1. Loaders shall be the current production model at the time of delivery. The machine(s) shall have a 2020 or newer manufacture date and Certificates of Origin shall be provided to the Central Garage at the time of delivery, for each unit.2.4. TYPE AND USAGE:2.4.1. The loader will be used for ditching, roadside maintenance, skid box operations, loading salt, sand, and other stockpile material, and snow removal. Loaders shall be equipped with a JRB quick coupler, for use with attachments such as reversible plows, forks, sweepers, etc.2.5.ENGINE:2.5.1. Diesel, 6 cylinders, minimum 145 net flywheel horsepower, SAE International rating, minimum 400 cubic inch piston displacement. Wet sleeved preferred. Machine shall be equipped with a cold weather start package, pre-cleaner on the air intake system, two stage dry type air filter, sound suppressant muffler, 90-degree elbow if straight vertical exhaust, and protected to minus 35 degrees Fahrenheit with Extended Life Coolant. The engine shall have an alarm system (light and/or audio) that will immediately alert the operator of high-water temperature, high transmission temperature, and low oil pressure. Low engine oil pressure shut down is acceptable if available. Engine bottom guard shall be provided.2.6.TRANSMISSION: 2.6.1. The transmission shall have four speed ranges forward. "Quick-shift" button for forward and reverse during loading operations. Transmission bottom guard shall be provided.2.7. DIFFERENTIALS-AXLES:2.7.1. Provide conventional rear axle, with hydraulic differential lock or limited slip front axle. Inboard, preferred, or wheel planetary. Rear axle oscillation shall be 22 degrees minimum.
