Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Motor coach must be 47 passenger or larger. 2. Sleeper coaches available upon request. 3. Motor coach required specifications: a. Climate controlled with heating and air conditioning b. Restroom equipped c. Audio equipment to include DVD and PA system d. Reclining seats e. Wi-Fi f. Adequate storage capacity 4. Must be in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. 5. Safe, reliable, and courteous drivers. 6. Each driver must carry a cell phone or some other device that would allow immediate contact with the driver should the need arise. 7. Drivers shall be required to wear a distinctive uniform at all times while transporting faculty, students, staff, and guests. 8. Fully qualified drivers with current CDL and Medical Examiners Certificate. 9. Furnish modern, clean, environmentally controlled (heated / air conditioned) regularly inspected and maintained vehicles. 10. All buses are to be smoke free / nonsmoking vehicles. 11. Schedule bus(es) to arrive early enough to provide for approximately 30 minutes prior to departure time unless requested to arrive earlier. 12. 48 hour notice must be given to the Department in case of cancellation. 13. Decision to cancel trips due to inclement weather will be at the sole discretion of UND. a. Attach a description that details the procedure taken when there is a problem on a trip regarding the incapacity of the motor coach. 14. Shall be solely responsible for maintenance. Attach a description that details how they will comply with these requirements: a. The maintenance of its bus fleet in accordance with federal and state regulations; b. Keeping all buses clean and sanitary in compliance with public safety and health regulations; c. Its drivers keeping the buses clean and maintained while on trips. 15. Adhere to any enhanced travel protocols instituted by UND, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), or any applicable athletic conference in which UND sponsors an athletic team (currently the Missouri Valley Football Conference, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference and The Summit League) for the health and safety of UND student-athletes, staff, or additional members of the travel party.
