ESU currently uses Avaya IP Office, which was designed and implemented by Convergent Solutions Group LLC in 2019. Since then, they have provided us with essential maintenance and support for unforeseen and urgent issues affecting our 815 phone numbers and IP contact center application. Given that we have only one person responsible for programming and troubleshooting phone and call center issues, having Convergent Solutions Group LLC handle urgent maintenance is crucial for the efficient operation of the ESU Phone System. This ensures that critical issues are promptly addressed, preventing extended downtime for the campus phone system. Awarding a maintenance and support contract on a competitive basis is not feasible because changing vendors would result in lost time and resources. Additionally, the response to critical issues would be slower, negatively impacting the efficiency of the university phone system. Therefore, it is clearly not feasible to award a contract for these services on a competitive basis. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
