Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Recorder of Deeds is responsible for recording, filing and providing access to a wide variety of documents. These documents, the majority of which relate to ownership of property, are indexed daily by highly-qualified personnel possessing the skills to determine, enter, and verify such things as type of document, parties to the document, parcel identification numbers, etc. A verification step is performed in the office to insure that all information has been abstracted properly and correctly. Through this two-step indexing and verification process, the documents are passed through the final recording process. This RFP will enlist a qualified contractor to perform a final verification step on indexing of all Recorder of Deeds documents.
