Specifications include, but are not limited to: Allegheny County, on behalf of its Department of Human Services (DHS), is soliciting Proposals from qualified Proposers to provide Kids Club and Mom’s Empowerment, two Evidence-Based Programs (EBP) designed to coincide with each other and serve families who have experienced Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Kids Club is a group therapy for children who have experienced IPV within their family. It targets children's knowledge about family violence, their attitudes and beliefs about families and family violence, their emotional adjustment, and their social behavior. Mom’s Empowerment is a parenting program for mothers who have experienced IPV. It provides a safe space for mothers to discuss the impact of the violence on their child's development and parenting fears and worries, and to build parenting competence and connections within a supportive group.
