Specifications include, but are not limited to: The effort will support capital improvement projects and consists of the engineering design, project management, and construction inspection tasks required to complete projects on time and within budget while still providing a quality product. Specific projects and tasks will be assigned, authorized, and executed on a Work Order basis. The Department’s objectives for this project include the following: ▪ The planning, scheduling, organizing, and controlling of resources to achieve specific objectives within established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. ▪ Advancing various projects from inception through bid award to the completion and closeout of all construction activity. ▪ The management and coordination of all aspects of each project with the DOS and its design and construction contractors, regulatory and resource agencies, utilities, private stakeholders, residents, the media, and the public. ▪ Quick reactions to short term deadlines that may arise during the projects. ▪ Develop process and systems to support City Infrastructure Engineering program. ▪ Support the City Infrastructure Engineering program within the City of Philadelphia with other tasks as needed.
