A. Remove existing condensing unit The work shall consist of: 1. Isolating the unit. 2. Recover refrigerant and recycle by approved method. 3. Disconnect electrical & refrigerant piping to condensing unit. 4. Remove existing condensing unit and dispose of by approved method. B. Provide replacement condensing unit The replacement condensing unit shall be equivalent in performance to the current unit (Copelametic model NRA2-0500-TFC) and compatible with the existing evaporators. Specifications must include the following: 1. Quote must include the make, model, and specs of the replacement condensing unit to vet for compatibility and performance prior to bid acceptance. 2. Compatible automatic defrost system. 3. All fittings, hoses, wires, and connections needed to install unit. C. Install new condensing unit The work shall consist of: 1. Installation in place of new condensing unit. 2. Reconnect and secure refrigeration piping. 3. Reconnect and secure electrical. 4. Leak check refrigerant piping at repairs. 5. Evacuate moisture and contaminates with deep vacuum below 500 microns. 6. Recharge to manufacturer’s specifications with new refrigerant 7. Restore power and test operation. 8. Adjust (3) existing thermostatic expansion valves for the evaporators.
