Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide services and work on the Pennsylvania Turnpike System, in the areas in the Schedule of Prices, as directed by the Commission in the form of a work order for each project. Work orders may be assigned at any Commission property including, but not limited to, Commission sites, and surplus parcels. The Commission reserves the right to choose whether projects shall be assigned under this contract or completed by other means. Additional services and work may be assigned outside the selected district(s) upon the mutual consent of the Contractor and the Commission’s Chief Engineer. Work is to be performed as scheduled or on an "on-call" basis as assigned by the Commission's Roadway Site Design Manager (Typical all through SP) or authorized designee. Project notification will be provided via written scope of work, field view, verbal description, email, or any combination of the aforementioned procedures. For services which, in the opinion of the Commission do not require immediate service, the Contractor shall prepare and submit a cost proposal, with a not-to-exceed amount, along with a work schedule, to the Commission within ten working days of project notification for review and consideration. If the Commission concurs with the technical scope and cost proposal, authorization will be provided from the Roadway Site Design Manager or authorized designee granting notice to proceed with the work.
