Specifications include, but are not limited to: Hot Mix Paving, Milling, and Site Restoration (CD) in the City of Pittsburgh. •City design cold patch will only be used in an emergency, and with the prior permission of the City of Pittsburgh. The cold patch will be removed before paving. Removal and disposal is at contractor expense. •All streets intersecting the proposed work area must be milled to match the grade line of said work area. Contractor must have saw-cut all key ways, butt joints, etc., at all transitions, or where required by the City of Pittsburgh. •Key/Transition Cuts-The Contractor will be required to install key cuts and/or transition cuts on existing concrete or asphalt streets in preparation for paving. The cuts must be installed by a Milling Machine and not a Jack Hammer. The length, width, and depth of cut will be determined by the City’s Supervisor or Inspection Team.
