Specifications include, but are not limited to: • CPD Tracking Database (“CPD”) – To track and manage all the City’s Capital Projects, DPP utilizes a custom-built Microsoft Access Database with a Graphic User Interface. CPD tracks project schedules, both planned and actual milestones, and provides management reports on project progress. CPD also tracks project budgets and spending but the information is collected manually and input into the system as the data becomes available. There is no direct integration with any budgeting system. The system currently resides on a City-owned server. • CBS – To provide a consistent system of capital requests including historical information, the OBPE uses the Capital Budget System (“CBS”). CBS is the foundation for all capital requests submitted annually to the PCPC and to OPBE. Tailored specifically for City use, the system meets very specific needs for information and includes such items as project descriptions and justifications, priorities, costs, sites/locations, sources of funding, phases, and project categories (new construction, rehabilitation, deferred maintenance, etc.).
