Specifications include, but are not limited to: The tow boat electrofishing unit will be used to sample mid-sized riverine systems such as Blacklick Creek, Schrader Creek, Little Conemaugh River, and many other mid-sized AMD impacted waters. The tow boat unit with a proper variable volt pulsator is able to effectively electrofish large volumes of water with conductance of 10-5000 ms. BAMR's requirements for electrofishing of mid-sized streams are increasing with waters such as the Little Conemaugh, Conemaugh River, Stoney Creek River, Shade Creek and others. The increased number of large volume waters emphasize the need for equipment to perform accurate stream assessments. Summer samplings require several mid-sized streams to be sampled in a single year.
