Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide a new field operations headquarters and all associated site work in a phased construction sequence, to allow the existing 29th & Cambria Field Operations Headquarters to remain in service, without interruption, for the duration of the entire construction program. • Provide modern, functional, Field Unit Offices and Facilities that support the field worker. • Streamline the field unit employee’s workflow to maximize efficiency. • Reconfigure the site to consolidate similar programs. • Create flexible and adaptable workspaces to accommodate future programmatic changes. • Provide shops and storage systems for materials in accordance with industry standards. • Ease internal vehicle congestion with organized, safe, and streamlined circulation. • Alleviate neighborhood traffic congestion. • Create attractive, safe, pedestrian corridors around the site perimeter. • Provide a secure perimeter that protects employees, critical Departmental functions, and valuable assets (vehicles and materials). • Project an image that denotes the distinction of a modern, enduring, efficient “Headquarters” whose massing and image are responsive to neighborhood context and scale. • Achieve a minimum LEED Gold Rating in all designed facilities.
