Specifications include, but are not limited to: Network • City Network consists of Edge and Core switching from Cisco with WIFI for remote sites. We use cloud management with internal monitoring for the switches • City Backbone o Fiber to the main sites o FIOS used for some remote sites o Business (broadband) for all remaining remote locations • City would like to move away from being married to a location and become married to the user with mobile functionality o We acknowledge that a hybrid solution may be ideal • Most endpoints will be connected via WIFI in 2017 Landlines • 155 locations in 70 buildings • Only 3 locations with more than 100 lines o City County Building, Police Headquarters and 412 Boulevard of the Allies. • UNIFIED COMMUNICATIONS will be required at these locations • City County Building is viewed as the main location with o 412 Boulevard of the Allies as a back up o 9 buildings with 20 -50 lines • 2 Contact Centers in City County Building o 14 Stations with 22 lines in 311 (includes 8 disaster recovery lines) o 5 stations with 4 lines in Help Desk • 1 New Contact Center in the Ross Street Building with 3 stations • Line Inventory o 1567 Centrex and POTS Lines • 1,070 Mobile Devices • 1,135 Phones mostly Toshiba • We understand that we will be required to maintain Centrex and/or POTS services for backup, elevator and/or security but would like to understand how Unified Communications may help us consolidate the number of devices and services per user in a Unified Communications environment.
