Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The contractor has designed, developed, and deployed the current website and has a custom-programmed architectural organization. Many website development firms build a site using plug-ins which often need updated by patches. These plug-ins often become obsolete over time, resulting in website performance issues and requiring redesign. FreshPage Media provides many website hosting services, such as an SSL secure certificate, virus and malware scans, cleaning, and monitoring services, various other protections and scans, daily full site backups, maintains the renewal for the domain name and domain reputation management. Additionally, this supplier maintains website maintenance, such as CMS updates, software patching as needed, speed and performance monitoring, content updates and other optimization and analytics. FreshPage Media also offers 24-hour support services. The university works directly with this contractor to quickly update the page or address issues at all times, even working non-traditional hours to keep the website functioning. Due to FreshPage Media’s continued services supporting the ECE PDO, this contractor has firsthand knowledge of the program, how it’s operated, expectations, branding standards, and rotating schedules. As a result, the contractor can preemptively anticipate and address recurrent needs, is aligned, and coordinates with the program staff to support the grant goals. FreshPage Media is the only agency with knowledge, relationship, and supportive services to continue this work. It is for these reasons that it is not feasible to award this contract on a competitive basis.
