All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: WCU’s Health Services department has been using the Point & Click Solutions Open Communicator module and Template Editor for Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system since 2009. The Open Communicator module allows web interaction with students and providers. It enables students the ability to upload pertinent medical and immunization information required by Health Services. Point & Click Solutions is currently used by the WCU Mental Health Community clinic as well. The clinic has been using Point and Click Solutions as their EMR solution since 2017 to support the clinic needs for the management of health information relating to the service provided by WCU doctoral students in the Doctorate in Psychology degree program. Continuing with Point and Click Solutions negates the need for transferring private health information to a new vendor, as well as additional training costs. Changing EMR vendors would result in significant service interruption at this time. To ensure continuity and consistency with the use of the WCU Health Service's Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and WCU Mental Health Clinic, it is imperative that WCU maintain the software system by renewing the maintenance, support, and software from Point & Click Solutions. Because Point & Click Solutions owns this software program, they are the only vendor capable of providing maintenance and support for their software. Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification.
