Specifications include, but are not limited to:NPSD Snow Removal Services Specifications: 1. Purpose: The purpose of this specification is to describe the requirements for snow removal services within the North Penn School District (NPSD). Contractors will be used when and as needed. NPSD will be performing all snow removal at all sites, at its discretion. 2. Scope: The scope of this specification includes but is not limited to the following two facilities: Note: It is not a requirement that one bidder must service all locations listed below. Feel free to bid on the locations you feel best suited to handle. Contractors may bid on providing equipment and operator on an hourly basis without providing pricing for site specific snow removal services. NPSD will remove snow and deice all sites at its discretion. a. North Penn High School (NPHS) – 1340 South Valley Forge Road, Lansdale, PA 19446 (See Exhibit SR-1). b. Educational Services Center (ESC) 401 E. Hancock Street, Lansdale, PA 19446 (See Exhibit SR-2). c. Other sites – NPSD may request equipment and operators to assist with snow removal in the event of heavy snows or because of in-house equipment failures. A contractor may provide pricing for equipment/operator rental even if not submitting a bid on site-specific snow removal or deicing services. Specific information on each school is provided in Paragraph 12. North Penn Schools are located in six different municipalities: Hatfield Township, Lansdale Borough, Montgomery Township, North Wales Borough, Towamencin Township, Upper Gwynedd Township, 3. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, fuel, repairs and management services for snow removal services within NPSD as described herein. All services shall be in such a manner as to be in compliance with all applicable state, county and municipal requirements and regulations. The Contractor is an independent entity and not an employee or agent of the School District. The contractor is required to have and show proof of liability insurance and worker’s compensation insurance. 4. Contract Period. The contract period shall be as follows: Year 1 December 12, 2014 - May 30, 2015 Year 2 October 12, 2015 – May 30, 2016 Year 3 October 10, 2016 – May 30, 2017
