Specifications include, but are not limited to: Snow plowing/removal services to remove snow from sidewalks in violation of Chapter 10-201 of the Stroudsburg Borough Code. The occupant/owner of “…property fronting upon or alongside any streets in the Borough of Stroudsburg shall remove snow and ice from the entire length and width of the sidewalk within 24 hours after the same shall have ceased to fall or to form. If ice cannot be cleared without damage to the sidewalk, it is required that it be strewn with antiskid, such as sand, salt or similar substance.” Upon giving notice as required, and if the snow is not removed, “Borough authorities may proceed immediately to clear all snow and/or ice from the sidewalk and to collect all expenses for the snow removal.”
