The purpose of this SSN is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources, their size classification, and their socio-economic status relative to the specified NAICS code. The responses will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After a review of the responses, a formal solicitation may be published on SAM.gov.
Project Description:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a requirement for a non-commercial construction project at the Shenango Ranger Station building in Hermitage, PA. The scope of the project includes, but is not limited to, the following modifications:
- Removal and disposal of existing cedar siding, insulation, furring boards, and associated roofing components like gravel stops and flashing.
- Temporary removal, relocation, and reinstallation of building-mounted equipment, including electrical service lines, internet cables, exterior lighting, and air conditioning units, while ensuring continuity of service.
- Installation of new 2x4 treated lumber furring, 1-½ inch insulation, and approximately 2,500 square feet of lap cement fiberboard siding, trim, and flashing.
- Installation of new roofing components, including aluminum gravel stops and flashing, tied into the existing EPDM roof.
- Adjustment and reinstallation of existing windows and doors with new prefinished extruded aluminum headers, sills, and side jamb coverings.
- Replacement of the existing cedar soffit and gutter at the porch ceiling and roof.
The acquisition will be a single firm fixed-price construction contract conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The estimated Period of Performance (PoP) is 180 Calendar Days after written Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, materials, supplies, layout, and supervision necessary to (1) develop the required work plans for the modification of the existing Ranger Station Building, and (2) perform the required modifications in accordance with the approved work plans.
The NAICS Code is 238170 (Siding Contractors) and the Small Business Size Standard is $19,000,000.00.

Shenango Ranger Station Building at the Shenango River Lake Camping Area in Transfer, Pennsylvania.
