The MDO seeks external firms and consultants to develop and deliver communications support and services for departments that fall under the direction of the Managing Director. Proposals should outline the firm’s relevance and commitment to strategically enhancing the MDO’s operational departments through various communications strategies, including but not limited to: • Writing/content creation o Work with various City operating departments to develop messaging for internal and external audiences o Develop content for collateral material, web and newsletters, press releases, and other written communications o Edit and proofread content o Develop creative campaign themes and copy • Graphic design o Logo or brand development o Design of promotional materials (brochures, flyers, posters, giveaways/swag) for various initiatives and events. This may include: ▪ Research and concept development ▪ Design options for reports as applied to select pages (cover and interior spread) with narratives, sidebars, callouts, infographics (tables, pie charts, fast fact/stats/icons, and maps), and images/photography. o Ensure that all design work (presentations, social media graphics and other communications) fits the City’s branding guidelines • Videography/photography o Produce videos to highlight programs, success stories, and events o Edit/update and re-purpose videos as needed. o Ensure videos are compatible with the City’s website format and social media platforms...
