Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.1 Provide close protection and other security-related functions for the Judge(s) and assigned County personnel. 2.2 Assist Judge(s) and County personnel in evacuations and/or sheltering in place. 2.3 Operate and maintain protective, operations and communications equipment provided by the County. 2.4 Render medical aid, such as first aid and CPR, in emergency situations to stabilize and support individuals until professional medical personnel arrive. 2.5 Promptly identify and escalate safety and security vulnerabilities and concerns. 2.6 Communicate vulnerabilities and safety concerns directly to the Sheriff’s Office Judicial Security Operations Unit in a timely manner. 2.7 Provide security with a strong understanding of court-related security protocols and procedures, including access control, screening, prisoner transport and maintaining order in courtrooms, in accordance with the law. 2.8 Provide a standardized process for written reports on incidents and activities, using a records management system. 2.9 Ensure that all reports are promptly shared with the Sheriff’s Office to maintain compliance with law enforcement requirements. 2.10 Provide courteous, high-quality service to all person by personally responding to requests for service or making appropriate referral. 2.11 Protect self or others in accordance with County Training and Pennsylvania Law. 2.12 Adhere to all training, policies and procedures provided by the County. 2.13 Contractor shall provide a minimum of ten (10) security officers per week. Scheduled shifts starting at 8:00 am, ending at 4:30 or 5:00 pm. 2.14 A Contractor who can provide the option of both armed and unarmed security personnel is preferred.
