Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Lyrasis is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit membership organization and is a catalyst for collaboration and innovation, a leader in open technologies, hosting, data-migration, content licensing, and other community support software programs across research organizations, Archives, Museums, and academic, public, and specialty libraries. Lyrasis’ content library is curated by a licensing team who works to negotiate discount pricing for its members, and the State System is one of its members. Through membership, the KLN libraries can add content to their libraries, leveraging the negotiated pricing structures realized by the Lyrasis team. Lyrasis partners with many content providers, their products/content through which can only be purchased though a competitive consortium such as Lyrasis as many content providers do not contract directly with small regional libraries. Additionally, any of the associated pricing can only be realized through the buying power that is Lyrasis.
