The project consists of preservation work of a single span steel plate through girder bridge addressing priority maintenance items of the existing structure carrying SR 3017 traffic over the Lackawanna River. Preservation items for the existing structure include repair and painting of the existing structural steel, heat straitening repairs, elastomer waterproofing, resetting or replacing bridge railing and railing posts, spall repairs, and scarification and polyester polymer concrete overlay. Additional work includes excavation, milling and overlay of roadway approaches, guide rail installation, E & S control measures, and other miscellaneous construction work as necessary. Traffic will be accommodated using detours as needed to complete construction as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 3017, SECTION D50, in LACKAWANNA COUNTY, OLD FORGE BOROUGH from the SR 3019/3017 intersection at segment 0010 offset 2188 to approximately 1.0 mile west of Old Forge at segment 0020 offset 0340.
