Olde York Street Fair The Olde York Street Fair is a Mother’s Day tradition in downtown York. The event takes place in and around Continental Square (Downtown York City). This free event features approximately 150+ vendors of handmade arts and crafts; a Kids Fun Block with bounce houses, games, petting zoo, and face painting; plus, other entertainment. Food vendors will sell a variety of traditional American festival food as well as original creations. Fifty percent of all food vendor proceeds will go to support local non-profit organizations. Ticket sales in the Kids Fun Block will support York City Special Events. Box Lunch Revue Live entertainment featured every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer months (May through August) located in Downtown York City. The venue is centrally located near the Central Market and downtown eateries. Grab a bite to eat and enjoy local high school bands, emerging, and established musicians in our community. Music for all ages. Free community event. Juneteenth Celebration Juneteenth was declared a federal holiday to remember and celebrate the emancipation of American slaves. The date of June 19, 1865 – when the Union Army reached Texas and announced the freedom of slaves there – is the basis of June 19th date of Juneteenth. This event partners with local organizations. Yorkfest Arts Festival York's premier fine arts festival weekend featuring over 80+ fine artists from all around the country, with food, hands-on arts activities and free entertainment, plus an evening community jazz concert. Free family friendly community event. Event typically takes place late summer (August). Light Up Night York A multicultural celebration that features food, live entertainment, children's activities/story time, caroling, the lighting of the York holiday tree, and of course the arrival of Santa. Past events have featured live reindeer and holiday movies. This event partners with local organizations and downtown venues. Free community event. New Year’s Eve Celebration New Year's Eve celebration featuring food and live entertainment for all ages, fireworks, and the dropping of the White Rose at midnight.
