Fabrication Specification Requirements (Activity A: CSO Signs): Fabrication Proof Preview (.PDF): Attachment 8 Production File (.AI): Attachment 9 *CSO Outfall number will have to be changed for each of the 38 signs: Attachment 10 • Signs are to be made from .5” thick iZone Custom High Pressure Laminate (CHPL) panel. • These signs will be exposed to the elements and some will be located near the river so additional weathering may be a concern. • 7-10 year longevity if possible and are interested in UV protection. • One number on the sign will change on each individual sign (the outfall number). This number is the Site # underneath the PGH2O Logo on the bottom right hand corner of the signs on the proof and production file. Please see attachment 10 for outfall numbers. B. Fabrication Specification Requirements (Activity B: River Crossing Signs): Production File Preview (.PDF): Attachment 8B Production File (.INDD w/ linked logo file in ZIP): Attachment 9B • Signs are to be made from .5” thick iZone CHPL panel or recommended thickness. • These signs will be exposed to the elements and will be located near the river so additional weathering may be a concern. • 7-10 year longevity if possible and are interested in UV protection. • The large panel size will require particular attention to avoiding wind shear force damage. 2. INSTALLATION A. Installation Requirements (Activity A: CSO Signs): Installation Specifications (.PDF): Attachment 11 Our installation recommendations: • PWSA to provide install locations • Installer to request One-Call at proposed installation • 8” thick aluminum backer for rigidity, mechanically fastened to CHPL panel from behind as needed • CHPL panel drilled and tapped to accept a 1/4"-20 bolt through L-bracket • 1/8” thick aluminum backer for rigidity, mechanically fastened to CHPL panel from behind as needed • L-bracket mechanically fastened through backer to CHPL panel, and to post • 3” square painted dual post install set into concrete footers • Installation would be into the ground and a variety of terrains including some sloped properties for some of the signs. • Installation of concrete footers to be set below frost line. Installer to follow City of Pittsburgh Right-Of-Way Procedures Manual Protocols on provided Attachment 17 for winter moratorium and minimum temperatures requirements for setting concrete: - Concrete footers not to be installed when ambient temperatures are below 40 degrees. - Moratorium on work Nov 1 to Mar 31st of each year. • 38 Locations: 19 of the 38 outfalls are in the vicinity of Saw Mill Run, 3 Becks Run, 3 Allegheny River in our service area, 3 Streets Run, 6 Chartiers Creek, 1 Mon River in service area, 3 Nine Mile Run, 1 Allegheny River in our service area.
