The work will consist of construction of geosynthetic reinforced soil (GRS) slope fills with geosynthetic geogrid fabric reinforced backfill to reestablish lateral support in two site locations along the western shoulder of Riverview Avenue due to recent landslides that were eroding in the 26th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The work involves construction of new geosynthetic reinforced soil (GRS) slope fills with geosynthetic geogrid fabric reinforced backfill, which generally consists of the following tasks: • Design and implementation of a traffic control plan. • Construction surveying. • Installation of compost filter sock. • Clearing and grubbing within the immediate work area, and guiderail removal. • Excavation and removal of slide debris.
