A. B. The instructor cadre must have a background to include service in the U.S. Army Tier 1 special mission unit. This background is imperative to ensure a fundamental understanding of all the courses of instruction to be provided. The training company must also have provided training to other state law enforcement agency tactical teams in the last 5 years to ensure their understanding of the application of tactics, techniques, and procedures to domestic law enforcement. C. The 3 individual courses will be the following: 1. Course #1 - 4 day Carbine Fundamentals course. a. There must be 32 hours of instruction over the 4 day period, 8 hours per day. The instruction on days 1 and 2 will be repeated to a second group of students on days 3 and 4. b. The course will be for a maximum of 24 students. c. The following topics must be reviewed: Fundamentals of Carbine Marksmanship, Weapons Manipulation, Reloads, Malfunctions, Target Transitions, Alternate Shooting Positions (Supported and Unsupported), Enter and Exit Drills, Shooting While Moving, Balancing Speed and Accuracy. 2. Course #2 – 4 day Close Quarter Battle course a. There must be 32 hours of instruction over the 4 day period, 8 hours per day. The instruction on days 1 and 2 will be repeated to a second group of students on days 3 and 4. b. The course will be for a maximum of 24 students. Hostage Rescue vs. Warrant Service TTP's (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures), Team Entry Techniques, Surgical Marksmanship, Fighting Room to Room, Efficiency in transition points, Navigating Danger Areas (Hallways, Intersections, Stairs), Target Discrimination/Surgical Marksmanship, Scenario-based training 3. Course #3 – 4 Day Small Unit Tactics/Linear Assaults course a. There must be 32 hours of instruction over the 4 day period, 8 hours per day. The instruction on days 1 and 2 must be small unit tactics and the instruction on days 3 and 4 must be on linear assaults. b. The course will be for a maximum of 24 students. c. The small unit tactics course must include the following blocks of instruction: Individual and Team Movement Techniques, Tactical Patrolling Formations, React to Contact, React to Near and Far Ambush, Planning Considerations for Small Unit Tactics, Tactical Decision-making during Fire and Maneuver, React to Contact and Immediate Action Drills, Force-on-Force, Last Covered and Concealed approach for Raid d. The linear assaults course must include the following blocks of instruction: Entering a Linear Target, Duties & Responsibilities of 1- 4 Man, Contingencies, Clearing Multiple Compartments, Exterior Security Teams, Last Covered and Concealed Positions, Maintaining Surprise, Speed, Violence of Action, Synchronizing the Assault, Key Leadership Duties & Responsibilities, Evacuating Personnel, Maintaining Command and Control during Post Assault
