5.1. Scope of Work The City of Pittsburgh (City) seeks to consider contracts for some or all of the following: precast concrete curbs, both shipped/delivered and installed, as well as installation only for precast concrete curbs in City storage to various locations citywide during a multi-year contract term. It is the intent of this contract to provide the commodities sand/or services described herein when needed ("on demand") by City departments. The City may award one or multiple vendors for these purposes, or may not award this solicitation depending on bids received. Vendors may enter an intentional no-bid for any line item(s) for which they do not intend to bid. 5.2. Group 1 - Precast Concrete Curbs, Shipped For precast concrete curbs only, shipped/delivered FOB Delivery to the City. No installation or construction terms will apply. 5.3. Group 2 - Installation Only For precast concrete curbs to be picked up from City storage, and installed on-site per work order instructions from the City. Installation and construction terms will apply. For work orders or purchase orders placed for Installation Only, the City will pay for the installation rate of the item(s) being installed, plus one trip per work order when the precast concrete curbs are picked up from City storage. The trip rate shall be billed per hour, separately from installation time, and cover only time spent traveling FROM the City's pickup site in the Strip District TO the worksite where the precast concrete curbs are installed. Bidders are to enter $0 for this line item if no such trip rate would be charged to the City.
