The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals from qualified and experienced offerors interested in partnering with Pennsylvania Western University, to provide the operation and management of the Health Center for students on the Clarion Campus, located at 840 Wood Street, Clarion, PA 16214. This section provides an overview of the engagement envisioned as a result of this RFP. Interested offerors should use this part of the RFP in its technical proposal and in conjunction with Appendix A, Technical Submittal Response Form. Collegiate health care and student wellness are valued at the University and are important factors in student retention and student satisfaction. The University is seeking a partner to provide and promote predominantly same day access to college health services including triage services, clinical appointments, evaluation and treatment, follow- up care, nursing support services that help students navigate their health care needs, gynecological and reproductive health, minor injuries, mental health, as well as preventive health visits and screenings. In addition, the University is interested in engaging a provider as a partner to promote preventive health practices as well as provide guidance and support related to campus public health issues. The provider will work in close collaboration with the Student Affairs leadership team and the University community. The University values its responsibility to students and seeks to retain oversight over the scope and quality of college health care provided to its students. Therefore, the University must remain involved in certain functions including monitoring access to services, obtaining student feedback, engaging in service satisfaction reviews, and investigating student service concerns with services or claims.
