Specifications include, but are not limited to: High rises. Of the five (5) residential subject properties, four (4) are public housing high rise buildings owned and managed by the MCHA: Robert P. Smith Towers (Pottstown, PA), Sidney Pollock House (Pottstown, PA), Golden Age Manor (Royersford, PA) and Marshall W. Lee Towers (Conshohocken, PA). They consist of a total of 347 one bedroom and efficiency units, of which approximately 97% are currently occupied. Presently, the MCHA is serving approximately 360 senior and disabled residents across the four (4) buildings: approximately 59% are seniors at or over the age of 62 and 41% are disabled (physically, mentally and/or intellectually) and under the age of 62. Of the occupied households, 79% are at or under 30% of Area Median Income. The scope of work is to assess, design, develop bid documents, participate in bid selection, oversee installation/construction, and provide continued consultation to develop the following: 1. A comprehensive access control system for ground-level ingress/egress and interior common areas, 2. A modern, networked security camera system, allowing staff to monitor and/or view recordings remotely from another site, and 3. Audible alarms at targeted exterior access points triggered by a door left open for extended periods. 4. Site Lighting at Bright Hope, elsewhere as needed. 5. Continued Consultation to any current or future MCHA property.
