This project is the Roadway improvements on PA 756 from T-464 (Alvin Street) to T-737 (Industrial Park Road) Richland Township, Cambria County. The project is in a congested area and will improve intersection safety by improving sight distance, adding left turn lanes, improving driver awareness, traffic pattern adjustments, and updating/coordinating traffic signals that are nearing the end of their life expectancy throughout the corridor. In addition to improving intersections, the project will decrease lane departure crashes by relocating utility poles out of the path of vehicular traffic and providing wider shoulders and curbed sidewalks. Pedestrian accommodations at the existing signalized intersections will be updated to current ADA compliant standards. The sidewalks will create a safe refuge for pedestrians and the widened shoulders along with the inclusion of bicycle safe grates will enhance bicyclists' comfort and safety along the corridor. Signal work at the intersection of T-745 (Eisenhower Boulevard) and T-312 (Theatre Drive) is included with the project as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 0756, SECTIONS 010/013, in CAMBRIA COUNTY RICHLAND TOWNSHIP from approximately Segment 0080 Offset 0300 to Segment 0150 Offset 0588.
