The Philadelphia Streets Department seeks a vendor to conduct Overhead Electrical Safety Awareness Training for its employees. The successful vendor will have a demonstrated history of professional development and be able to provide extensive information in the following areas: -Electrical Hazards -De-Energizing a Source -Working on or near live parts -Approach Distances -Limits of Approach -Proper Person Protecting Equipment The Department of Streets; Street Lighting Division is seeking to provide Overhead Electrical Safety Awareness Training as the safety of our employees is a high priority. The training will ensure our staff safely addresses electrical hazards and de-energizes a source when necessary. Our employees will also need to obtain a working knowledge of approach distances, limits of approach and the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Successful outcomes for an effective Overhead Electrical Safety Awareness Training will demonstrate the following: 1. Reinforce knowledge and skills to perform their duties effectively 2. Increased ability to address active electrical projects safely 3. Ensure that staff adhere to legal and regulatory standards, reducing the risk of errors and enhancing public trust in our division 4. Acquired deepening knowledge of overhead electrical safety 5. Ability to connect technical skills and real-world challenges and solutions 6. The selected applicant would be responsible for planning, research, analysis, and presentation of the best practices when working with overhead electrical connections.
