The Trust is seeking a qualified firm of accredited actuaries to perform full actuarial valuations of PGW’s other postemployment benefits. The full actuarial valuations are to be completed in accordance with Governmental Accounting Standards Board (“GASB”) Statement No. 74, Financial Reporting for Postemployment Benefits Other Than Pension Plans, and GASB No. 75, Accounting and Financial reporting for Postemployment Benefits Other Than Pensions. In addition to preparing the required actuary reports listed in Section 2.3, the selected Proposer may be required to provide additional ad hoc reports, as well as other related actuarial services, calculations, and guidance to PGW and/or the OPEB Trustees. The selected Proposer may also be required to present their report(s) to PGW and/or the OPEB Trustees, provide expert witness assistance, as needed, to the PGW OBEP Trust, Philadelphia Gas Commission, PaPUC, or the PFMC Board of Directors regarding active employee and retiree welfare plans, or meet with PGW’s pension actuary to coordinate and reconcile assumptions for consistency.
