This project provides for the furnishing of all labor, material, equipment and work necessary to perform construction of approximately 2.70 miles of 4-lane concrete roadway on new alignment, the construction of SR 0043 Ramps at the Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard (SR 2045) Interchange (half-interchange), and reconstruction of Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard (SR 2045) and a new relocated private drive. The contract will include construction of dual seven span continuous composite steel girder bridges MF411A/MF-411B; a two-span continuous composite steel girder bridge MF-413D; a single span composite steel girder bridge MF-412; and two sound barrier noise walls (NSA 5 and NSA 35). The contract will also include installation of a proposed permanent signal at the intersection of Pittsburgh McKeesport Boulevard (SR 2045) and 5th Street; installation of stormwater facilities; drainage systems; highway lighting; PA American water line relocation; and ITS. Also included is one (1) Roadway Weather Information System (RWIS), including furnishing and installation of the foundation, structure, power, communication conduit and wiring, and testing devices. Coordination with the University of Pittsburgh, Impact Resilient Infrastructure Science and Engineering (IRISE) staff is required.
