Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. The purchase of True One 2400 metabolic measurement system by Shippensburg University. This is not a bid. The Parvo Medics TrueOne 2400 is a unique and widely accepted metabolic measurement system in the Exercise Science field. It's used to measure a student's metabolic, pulmonic, and physiological state during exercise. The system's pulmonary function test capability is also crucial, as it allows students to gain skills necessary for pre-allied health professions. This system is a cornerstone of Shippenburg University’s program curriculum, and students use it almost daily in multiple courses and for faculty and student research projects. The department has used the Parvo Medics system for over 10 years. This new unit is a direct replacement for their current, failing system. Switching to another vendor would render their accumulated consumables and accessories useless. These include expensive items like headgears, mouthpieces, filters, valves, and tubes. Replacing all these items is not feasible within our department's operating budget, and doing so would severely impact their program.
