The scope of work involves the second phase of Montgomery County's comprehensive effort to repair, replace and maintain all roofing at the MCCF over the course of multiple years. At completion of the program, the total roof area addressed at the facility will be approximately 316,000 square feet. The Phase 2 project includes replacement of existing ballasted EPDM and adhered EPDM roofs with an adhered EPDM system across twelve roof areas at approximately 60,470 square feet. Collateral work associated with these roof areas includes but is not limited to the removal and replacement of rooftop HVAC units, removal and replacement of a mechanical platform, the removal of abandoned rooftop equipment, infill of the deck openings and the addition of roof drains. Other work includes lightning protection, masonry repointing and the replacement of masonry control joints.
