The nurse will: 1. Possess of a current license to practice as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, as appropriate. 2. The nurse must have a minimum of two years’ experience in direct patient care. 3. Possess current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certifications throughout the term of the contract. CPR scheduling , monitoring and payment is the responsibility of the contractor. 4. Review and follow the written nursing standing orders that are developed by the contracted APP, Collaborating Physician or Supervising Physician. The contracted APP will review these orders yearly and modify/update as needed. 5. Review student health forms, and, when appropriate, make recommendations to the student. 6. Provide timely documentation in the EHR system for all appointments, all patient care and all patient communication provided, whether in-person or via telephone. 7. Perform in-person and telephone nurse duties per the nursing standing orders. 8. Provide treatment of minor wounds, injuries and illnesses per the nursing standing orders. 9. Administer tuberculin skin tests, immunizations, Depo-Provera, ECP according to CU SHS protocols and standards. 10. Review and maintain integrity of emergency boxes checks per health care services Contractor protocol. 11. Record daily refrigerator and freezer temperatures and report abnormal readings. 12. Assist in maintaining the lab by implementing controls when necessary, replacing stock, and monitoring expiration dates. 13. Provide health and wellness education to students as needed. 14. Problem solve and coordinate follow-up care for students when appropriate. 15. Initiate and complete daily opening and closing procedures and cleaning for the SHS clinic. 16.
