The University is one of fourteen member universities of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education (PASSHE) and has an enrollment of approximately 10,127 full and part-time undergraduate and graduate students comprising its student body. Bloomsburg University provides issued ID card-activated access control to University personnel associated with and needing access to non-public areas on campus. Access using the OnGuard system is granted via proximity (37- bit) technology (specifically, H10302 with no facility code). The campus’s wireless network supports the 802.11 G and N standards at a minimum and support for 802.11 AGN is favored with expectation implement an 802.11 A/C system. University Card Center Staff currently maintain credentialing in the current systems with ability to contact Lenel support. Furthermore, Card Center Staff have varying levels of expertise ranging from field device diagnosis and repair through software operations (programming communications) to hardware issues and troubleshooting (parts, replacement, connectivity and environment). Bloomsburg University’s normal working hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. In 2014, the University converted from UTC Picture Perfect to Lenel OnGuard. It also expanded its array of locking devices with the introduction of Assa Abloy IN120 wireless locksets integrated into the OnGuard platform at that time.
