Specifications include, but are not limited to: It is the intent of the City of Philadelphia to make an award for Leaf and Yard Waste Recycling for the Philadelphia Streets Department; 2.2.1 All leaves and yard waste shall be transported to successful seller's site via City of Philadelphia 60 yard tractor trailers (or, in some cases, 25 yard trash Compactors). Approximately 500 tons of leaves and 600 tons of yard waste (garden residue, shrubbery, tree trimmings and Christmas trees) shall be delivered to Awarded Seller's location. A set tonnage is not guaranteed. 2.2.2 The successful seller will be responsible for recycling the leaves and yard waste, NOT disposal via landfill or incineration. 2.2.3 Leaves and yard waste shall be delivered to Seller's site in bulk or in biodegradable paper bags. 2.2.4 Seller's site must be located in Pennsylvania and shall be within a twenty (25) mile radius of Philadelphia (Sanitation Area #6-State Rd. and Ashburner St.). 2.2.5 The successful seller's site shall be easily accessible by the City of Philadelphia's trucks, as indicated in para. 2.2.1, regardless of the weather conditions. Seller shall insure that all roadways at seller's site shall be free from ice, snow, mud, etc. Liquidated Damages, as per para. 4.2.4.1 may be assessed by the City if roadways are not accessible to City's trucks. Continued failure to keep roadways clear may result in default of contract by the awarded seller. 2.2.6 The City of Philadelphia shall deliver all leaves and yard waste (including trees during the applicable season) to the successful seller's site Monday through Saturday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM (Delivery schedule may be adjusted by mutual agreement).
