1.0 SCOPE OF WORK This specification outlines the requirements for providing trash removal and landscaping services at various Pittsburgh Regional Transit (PRT) Park and Ride lots located in various areas of Allegheny County, complete as specified herein. The duration of this contract shall be three (3) years. 2.0 SERVICE PROVIDER RESPONSIBILITIES 2.1 The Service Provider shall empty trash receptacles and replace receptacle liners, pick up trash and debris from shelters, sidewalks, lots, and landscaped areas, and remove recyclable trash throughout the entire area of each park and ride lot once or twice per week as specified in Section 3.1 from January 1 to December 31. The Service Provider shall dispose of trash off-site. 2.2 The Service Provider shall perform grass cutting and edge trimming (if applicable) on a bi-weekly basis. 2.3 The Service Provider shall perform trimming, pruning, weeding, and removal of dead vegetation complete as specified in Section 3.2 monthly from May 1 through October 31. 2.4 The Service Provider shall respond within 24 hours to PRT callouts for additional trash removal. The Service Provider shall also respond within 24 hours to PRT callouts for removal of fallen trees and branches, if needed, following storm damage. 2.5 The Service Provider shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in work of a similar nature to this contract. The Service Provider shall furnish all personnel, equipment, materials, and supplies required to perform the work as specified herein. All the Service Provider’s equipment shall be in good serviceable condition. The Service Provider shall have and maintain the following minimum equipment to be eligible for award: 2.5.1 Pickup, dump, or refuse truck. 2.5.2 Two (2) lawn mowers 2.5.3 Two (2) wheelbarrows 2.5.4 Two (2) weed trimmers. 2.5.5 Chain saw for tree and branch removal. 2.5.6 Two (2) high powered blowers 2.5.7 Shovels, brooms, rakes, and other equipment normally used in this type of service.
