The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District has a requirement for the Johnstown Local Protection Project Vegetation and Debris Control Service at Johnstown, Cambria County, Pennsylvania. The Johnstown Local Protection Project is a 9.2-mile channel consisting of mostly concrete lined channel situated along Stonycreek, Little Conemaugh, and Conemaugh River. Shoaling at the bottom of the channel and vegetation growing on the walls has been a maintenance issue since construction. This contract involves removal of vegetation growing on shoals at the bottom of the channel and out of the joints and weepholes on the walls. Additionally, the contractor is responsible for removing trash and woody debris out of the channel that has historically contributed to growth of shoals. The work area is broken up into six (6) units. This is a Indefinite-Quantity (IDC) Requirements Contract with a five (5) year Ordering Period. Any resultant contract will be a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Contract. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business. All responsible quoters are encouraged to participate.
