Specifications include, but are not limited to: 2.3.1 System Energize Seller shall perform the following tasks:• Energize the irrigation system in the spring. • Evaluate system and make recommendations of system repairs. • Any repairs to the system shall fall under System Repairs/Hourly Labor Rate (See below; Item #2.3.2). • Ensure that all irrigation heads are rotating properly, adjust spray patterns to provide maximum coverage and repair or replace defective parts as needed. • Clogged screens, heads and nozzles shall be cleaned or replaced as needed. • All zone boxes shall be checked to ensure diaphragms and automatic valves are functioning properly and repaired or placed as needed. • Pumps and motors shall be inspected and maintained for overall condition such as, stability, excess vibration, coupler connections and electrical aspects. • Ensure all systems are leak free and functioning properly. 2.3.2 System Repair/Hourly Labor Rate • Hourly labor rates are based on one (1) mechanic, one (1) laborer and one (1) service vehicle. • Estimated man-hours for each site are indicated in the PHL Contracts Items Tab of this Invitation and Bid. • All materials shall be replaced with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts or equivalent make and model. • Seller shall assume all costs for repair work performed without prior consent from Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. 2.3.3 System Flagging • Seller shall furnish time and materials to mark all irrigation components utilizing both spray paint and flags prior to power seeding or excavating. • This task shall be performed at the request of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation. 2.3.4 System Winterize • All systems must be winterized by November 15th . • Seller shall drain all systems and utilize pressurized air to blow out any excess water in the system. • Seller shall be held responsible for any damages due to improper system winterization.
