The project involves replacing the existing 3 span structure carrying SR 0081 NB over West Foothills Drive, along with approach roadway and stormwater management improvements. Details of the replacement structure include, a single span, 112’-4½” span P/S bulb tee beam structure on integral abutments, 2 12’ lanes, 33’ left shoulder (includes future 12’ lane), and 12’ right shoulder. The project will be staged to maintain two lanes of traffic on SR 0081 except for short term overnight lane closures. West Foothills Drive will be detoured at times. The project includes improvements to a median crossover located approximately 0.9 miles north of the bridge. The work also includes other miscellaneous construction, as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 0081, SECTION 362, in LUZERNE COUNTY, BUTLER TOWNSHIP from a point approximately 0.50 miles south of the bridge at Segment 1470 Offset 0760 to a point approximately 0.9 miles north of the bridge at Segment 1484 Offset 0887.
