9.1 All work shall be authorized by either the County Bridge Supervisor or the County General Services Manager prior to commencing said work. Failure to do so may result in a delay of payment or, upon further review, may be deemed ineligible for payment. 9.2 Work may include, but is not limited to: 9.2.1 Broad spectrums of electrical work in maintenance of installed systems. 9.2.2 Underground or overhead circuits requiring trench labor and equipment or pole repair and climbing efforts. 9.3 Repairs can encompass fault isolation, troubleshooting, rewiring, components repair, component replacement and re-lamping. Contractor is responsible for providing all labor and material necessary to effect repairs and return installed systems to normal operation. 9.4 Work includes but is not limited to intersection, bridge and highway lighting in various locations along Route 22 & Route 309, Route 22 & Route 145, Route 22 & Fullerton Avenue, Route 22 & Airport Road, and the Race Street Bridge, located in the Borough of Catasauqua. Work may involve pole work at heights over 45 feet and on poles with induced current located under high voltage (500KV) power lines. 9.5 Scope of work shall include periodic (quarterly) checks on lighting during night hours to verify illumination and determine re-lamping and maintenance needs. 9.6 Provide all vehicular and pedestrian traffic control devices and personnel in accordance with accepted PennDOT and municipal guidelines, requirements, or ordinances to safely and effectively complete all necessary repairs. 9.7 As directed by the County, locate and mark County-owned underground electrical facilities in conformance with the latest requirements of PA ACT 287 of 1974, as amended by Act 121 of 2008, also known as “811 - Pennsylvania One Call System, Inc. (POCS)”.
