The project involves replacing the existing 4 span structure carrying SR 0080 EB over SR 0081, as well as preventive maintenance to the existing single span structure carrying SR 0081 NB over SR 0080 WB, along with approach roadway and stormwater management improvements. Details of the SR 0080 EB replacement structure include, a 2 span, 240’ continuous span P/S bulb tee beam structure on abutments with spread footing, 4 12’ lanes (2 through, 2 ramp lanes), 12’ left shoulder, and 10’ right shoulder. The SR 0080 EB to SR 0081 NB ramp (Ramp E) left shoulder will be widened to 12’ from the end of the SR 0080 EB bridge to the ramp bridge over SR 0080 WB. The project also includes replacing a sign structure and an ITS pole. The project will be staged to maintain two lanes of traffic on SR 0080 except for short term overnight lane closures. SR 0081 will have overnight detours. The work also includes other miscellaneous construction, as indicated on the approved drawings included in the bid package for STATE ROUTE 0080, SECTION 350, in LUZERNE COUNTY, BUTLER TOWNSHIP from a point approximately 0.35 miles west of the SR 0080 EB bridge at segment 2590 offset 1354 to a point approximately 0.23 miles east of the SR 0080 EB bridge at segment 2594 offset 2064.
