Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Montgomery, on behalf of the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities/Early Intervention in consultation with the offices of Managed Care Solutions and Drug & Alcohol, is issuing this request for proposals as part of the county’s routine procurement process in order to seek a provider to perform Mobile Mental Health Crisis Services (“Crisis Services”). The goal of these services is to provide coordinated crisis response inclusive of prevention, intervention and linkage/referral in order to support individuals and families, and in line with the SAMHSA toolkit and recommended best practices. Through the implementation of the six (6) Essential Principles of a Modern Crisis Care System, this service will work to facilitate actions that best support wellness and recovery, utilizing engagement techniques that involve assessing risk, developing crisis plans, and following up after crisis has resolved or stabilized. The services will facilitate access to emergency behavioral health treatment when needed, although diversion from restrictive levels of care will be prioritized. The selected provider shall work collaboratively with Montgomery County providers, behavioral health service providers at all levels of care, emergency departments, schools, police departments and others within the region. The services shall be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
