3.1 Athletic and Sports Fields ● Field lining per athletic schedules and NFHS requirements for game fields ● Immediate repair of divots, holes, and unsafe conditions ● Daily dragging of baseball/softball infields during active seasons ● Lining of fields once per week and on game days, per schedule provided weekly by Athletic Department, per NFHS requirements. ● Maintain NASD High School discus and shot put areas ● Maintain cinder track at East Norriton Middle School ● Application of Goose Flight Control for fields on an annual basis as needed; deal with geese feces on fields ● Weed-free infields year-round ● Rebuilding of pitching mounds, home plates, and bases as required ● infield mix delivered and installed Fall prior to the spring season as needed ● Seasonal resodding and seeding of goal mouths ● Maintenance of goals, nets, fences, bleachers, scoreboards, and netting ● Soil testing at least twice annually ● Moving of athletic goals and outfield fences as needed per season per Athletic Department 3.2 Common Grounds ● Maintain turf height between 2.75” and 3.” ● Alternate mowing patterns ● Edging of sidewalks and curbs after each cut ● Trimming around all site fixtures ● Removal of debris, leaves, branches, and litter 3.3 Fertilization and Integrated Pest Management ● Compliance with all federal and state regulations ● Licensed Commercial Pesticide Applicator required ● No subcontracting of fertilization and pest control ● Adherence to the District’s Integrated Pest Management (IPM) policy ● Written logs maintained for each field ● Preference for organic and low-impact treatments
