Description: The Wayne County Commissioners will receive sealed bids until 4:00 PM prevailing time on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the office of the Commissioners on the Third Floor of the Court House Annex at 925 Court Street, Honesdale, PA 18431. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the regular meeting of the Commissioners that begins at 10:30 AM on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Bid packages, including drawings and specifications, may be obtained at the above address or by contacting the Commissioners’ Office at (570) 253-5970, extension 4050. Bids are invited on the following: A three-year contract to cut brush, grass and weeds on and around 12 Wayne County owned dams. The dams average 2.5 acres each to be mowed and trimmed using appropriate equipment. The areas of the dams to be cut include the crest, upstream and downstream slopes, 10 feet from the toe of the upstream and downstream slopes, downstream stilling basins and portions of the discharge channels, and the emergency spillways and side slopes of the emergency spillways. The dams are located around Honesdale in the Oregon and Berlin Township areas as well as South of Hamlin in the Sterling and Dreher Township Areas. The dams must be cut once annually and all work must be performed prior to September 30th of each year. Basis of payment shall be on a unit price per dam, per year. Liability insurance will be required.
