The Philadelphia Water Department is seeking proposals from qualified Applicants to enhance and facilitate the Department’s existing public education and regional coordination programs. PWD provides support to the Schuylkill Action Network (SAN), a watershed- wide organization charged with uniting stakeholders, utilities, regulators and industry to improve water quality in the Schuylkill River Watershed. These partnership efforts are being built upon and expanded to the lower Delaware River watershed. Additionally, the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center freshwater mussel propagation hatchery presents a unique opportunity to conduct innovative water quality and aquatic restoration research while providing interactive learning experiences and opportunities for education and outreach programs.
